Hatcher Pass is nestled quietly in the Talkeetna Mountains above my home town Palmer, Alaska. I grew up skiing Hatcher’s unmarked trails, careening down snow-covered slopes, and skulking through dark and long-abandoned mining shafts.

The lodge is an iconic reminder of this magical place and of my youth.
